All About Credits
Have a credit from a past cancellation? Use it to sign up for Scor! programs before it expires.
See other Q&As below!
What do you recommend I use my credit for?
We recommend Annual Membership as a great way to use your credit, as it has live classes, is interactive, and has an individualized faculty meetup along with a Personalized Treasure Map. Access to all live and recorded material will last for one year.
Other options include the below self-paced courses. The advantage to these options is that you have unlimited, unending access. They are self-paced, so the content is not currently live but was pre-recorded. (It includes previously given live classes.) You can go through the material at your own pace. Although there is no interactive or live element, your faculty is always available for questions anytime. When Live Courses are available (1-2 times / year), you can use your credit toward those as well.
A third option is to use your credit to attend an in-person event.
1. Read up on the opportunities below, which include Annual Membership & several self-paced courses, including learning uplifting new pieces, learning all about how to play expressively, or learning how to play fun fiddle tunes and sound fiddley. Choose one or more that you'd like to try.
2. Email Beth to ask what your credit amount is, and include any questions about the offerings so that you can decide which to do.
3. Decide which offering to take advantage of, and email Beth to request a coupon code. (Don't just purchase the offering, first ask for a coupon code!)
4. Use the coupon code Beth sent you to purchase the offering, and enjoy!
5. If interested in using your credit for an in-person event, please contact Beth for more info.
You may have a credit if you cancelled a recent camp attendance. We are happy to look that up for you. Simply email us through the button below. (We don't have a system by which you can look that up yourself.)
A Scor! Credit is like a store credit. It is basically a balance that you can only use at a given store. So, a Scor! credit is a balance (a dollar amount) that you can use toward the purchase of a Scor! offering.
No, your Scor! credit is not like a bank account, as you cannot withdrawal funds (or get a refund). Instead, it's more like store credit or a gift card, where you can use the value to purchase something else in the future.
We'll have to look that up for you. Simply email us through the button below.
You can use your credit to sign up for a Scor! offering. See above for course and membership offerings that you can use your credit for. Your other choice is to use the credit for an in-person event.
Anytime. Choose an offering & sign up!
Most of the costs involved with creating your Scor! experience are incurred well before the event. As a result, we are unfortunately unable to offer refunds (including cash, check, credit card, Paypal, etc.).
Your credit lasts through the season in which you cancelled, and through the following season as well (til Sept 30). So, if you cancelled your attendance one year, you can use your credit through the following summer until Sept 30.
Yes. We have records of everyone's credits.
Yes. When you apply and chat with Beth, your credit will be applied to your new camp balance on the back end.
Yes, you can use your credit for a one-time annual membership. If you see the links above for membership, then you are welcome to sign up! We can even customize your use of your credit for the Membership, so you get as much value as possible without having to spend any extra. Contact us to find out more!
Yes. You can sign up for one of our our live courses as available, our self-paced courses, our annual membership, or use your credit at an in-person event. A final option is to convert your credit into a donation and receive a tax deductible receipt.
Our in-person events occur in June-August. Applications are usually available from Feb-May. Simply apply from our In-Person Events Page. Otherwise, you can use your credit in our other ongoing programs.
If you wish, you can convert your credit into a tax-deductible charitable donation at any time as many have already done. You can choose to do this anytime. Just email us to let us know. You'll then receive a receipt the following January for your donation. (Symerge is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt public charity formed for the purposes of the public benefit.)
Your credit is a dollar amount based on how much you paid for your Scor! Camp that you didn't get to use. You'll be able to apply this dollar amount or a portion of it toward a course, membership, or an in-person event. (A credit with Scor! is much like store credit... you can purchase something in the store with the dollar amount of your credit.)
Not exactly. Your credit is not a guarantee of a specific future event at a specific time or place, or a free pass to a future event. It is a balance, which represents an amount of money, that you can use for another Scor! offering. You may not get the exact same item or experience that you originally wanted, but you can choose from any current offering. (Like having a store credit or gift card, you can purchase what's in stock or wait for more things to be in stock, but you can't purchase something that is out of stock.)
We have a record of your credit. Your credit is available through September 30, of the following year after your cancellation. Here are 3 things you can do...
